Researchers at Glasgow University have identified a molecule which amplifies allergic reactions and developed a biological agent which may reduce allergy symptoms. The breakthrough could enable doctors to reduce the number of people suffering serious allergic reactions and anaphylaxis from exposure to foods such as peanuts, shellfish, and dairy products.
