Overweight kids were over 50 percent more likely to be allergic to milk and 25 percent more likely to have one or more food allergies compared to children at a normal weight. Being overweight also affects the levels of C-reactive protein in the body, which affects inflammation, showing inflammation might play a role in allergies too.
