A long running research project completed under Yaakov Stern, PhD, of the Taub Institute for the Research on Alzheimer's disease and the Aging Brain, New York, has shown that patients who also had a history of diabetes or high cholesterol showed a statistically higher rate of decline from Alzheimer's disease.
