Research led by Cyrus A. Raji, PhD, of the University of Pittsburgh, and Paul M. Thompson, PhD, of the University of California, Los Angeles, indicates that people of age 70 or older who are overweight or obese have, on average, lower brain mass, and possibly a higher risk of dementia.
