Research by Robert Nagele, PhD, of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and published in the journal Brain Research has identified a protein, vimentin, that the brain seems to use to repair damage done by Alzheimer's Disease; Alzheimer's becomes evident when the protein can't keep up.
