Researchers conducted a study on rats by adding blueberries to both low- and high-fat diets. All the rats, in ninety days, had lower triglycerides, cholesterol, less abdominal fat, and improved glucose and insulin sensitivity. The rats who ate blueberries on the low-fat diet had even greater health benefits.
