Having Eczema As A Child Almost Doubles The Risk Of Becoming Asthmatic Later In Life.

The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology reports on a study of 8,500 Tasmanians from childhood which examines how allergic conditions develop. Asthma was found in nearly double the number of adults who had childhood eczema compared to those who did not. These findings are significant given the increased rates of allergic conditions globally.
