Study Links Pneumonia To Two Asthma Inhalers

A study by researchers at Wake Forest University School of Medicine has found that two popular anti-inflammatory inhalers may increase by up to 70 percent the risk of pneumonia in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The inhalers in the study were Advair, marketed by GlaxoSmithKline, and Symbicort, marketed by AstraZeneca.
