Digital Dermoscopy Halves Incisions

A study in Australia has shown that using a combination of dermoscopy and short-term sequential digital dermoscopy imaging, in which successive dermoscopic images of moles or melanoma are assessed over a three month period, can reduce the benign to melanoma rate and the rate of excision and referral of pigmented lesions by GPs.
