Glaucoma is usually attributed to high pressure in the fluid in the eye but some people with normal intraocular pressure also suffer from glaucoma. A new study indicates that this could be due to mini-strokes known as silent cerebral infarcts. Brain images can indicate whether this is the cause of a patient's glaucoma.
