My boyfriend sent me an email to make myself available for a weekend in March. We were planning to go ring shopping in a few weeks, so I didn't expect a proposal. My boyfriend sent me an email to make myself available for a weekend in March. We were planning to go ring shopping in a few weeks, so I didn't expect a proposal. He took me to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland. We had been there two years before so I assumed it was a special anniversary present. We stayed in the same hotel and had reservations for dinner at the same restaurant we had visited before. My boyfriend had told me to dress to impress and since there was a mall downstairs, I wanted to do some last minute shopping. He was very set on not letting me leave the hotel room... We arrived at the restaurant, and were escorted to a private room upstairs, the pathway lit with candles. I saw people in the room before we entered, and got confused as to why we were eating with strangers. Once we entered I saw that my parents, aunt, and cousin, and his parents and sister's family were there. I began to cry, and he got down on one knee and told everyone our history with Baltimore and how much we were in love, and he asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes, through teary eyes! He then explained the reason I couldn't leave the room earlier was because everyone was staying in the hotel with us. We all had a great dinner and then spent the weekend site seeing together.

For weeks she said no when I asked her out, and for weeks I kept trying. Maybe she denied me because of our age difference. Maybe because she was my boss. But I kept asking, and eventually she said yes. Rae-Anne and I had been dating for about six weeks, and by the first two I had wanted to marry her. But I kept asking, and eventually she said yes. Rae-Anne and I had been dating for about six weeks, and by the first two I had wanted to marry her. I then learned she was going to New York with her best friend, Mary. Knowing that all lies are forgivable when associated with a gift or surprise, I got to lying. I told her I would visit a friend in LA while she went to New York, and we’d join back up for Christmas. She left on a Thursday morning. I left the next day, but flew to New York, staying with friends and wandering the city, hoping to catch a glimpse of her around a corner or in a restaurant. I enlisted Mary as a co-conspirator, and arranged to have her bring Rae-Anne to The Mall in Central Park, a long walkway made famous by the pond and fountain at its northern end. This was where I wanted this moment to happen. I planned to surprise her at the end of her trip, so as not to steal the excitement away from being there with Mary. Between 4:00pm and 5:00pm in the afternoon on Sunday, I got in touch with Mary, who told me they were just leaving the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I told here which pathways to take, leading them to the fountain and eventually The Mall. I hid behind a tree on a hill overlooking the fountain, and eventually saw then arrive on the scene. At that point, I called Rae-Anne, just to talk. While we talked, she began walking south through The Mall. I drew in behind her, and then started saying, “I can just picture you there… walking, wearing your big coat, leaning against a railing…” When she realized my description was a little too detailed, she whirled around to see me standing there. I sat her on a nearby bench, kneeled, and proposed… Over two years later, we now live in New York, and couldn’t be happier.

It was 4 O'clock on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. Chase and I were going to just hang out that night and maybe see a movie. The door bell rang and there stood Chase in black slacks and a pin-stripped black dress shirt. "You have an hour to get ready for dinner." It was 4 O'clock on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. Chase and I were going to just hang out that night and maybe see a movie. The door bell rang and there stood Chase in black slacks and a pin-stripped black dress shirt. "You have an hour to get ready for dinner." Shocked and surprised I went to my room and got ready for dinner and the amazing night ahead. After changing into my “little black dress” we hopped into Chase's car and headed toward the mountains. I wasn't sure where we were heading until we started up the mountain...there was only one restaurant where we could be headed...the Flagstaff House. I couldn't believe it. The Flagstaff House is a five star restaurant on the side of the mountain above Boulder. We sat down at a corner table with a window spanning from floor to ceiling, framing the lights of Boulder. As the sun was setting in front of us we started dinner. Meanwhile, Chase had already given my apartment key to one of my friends who was setting things up back at my place. Three hours after we had started, our amazing dinner was coming to an end. Going back to Chase’s car we drove down the mountain towards my place. Arriving there, we stepped out of the car as the scent of candles met us. Not knowing what to expect I walked to the door with Chase and opened the door...my heart stopped, and I started shaking. Thousands of red, yellow, pink, white, and orange rose petals were laid across the counters, tables, and shelves. A path of rose petals was lit by over 120 candles leading to my couch. The table in front of the couch had a bottle of champagne chilling on ice with two glasses waiting nearby. Blind folding me before I had a chance to take it all in, Chase led me across the path of rose petals and sat me down on the couch. After he took off the blindfold I saw that Chase was already down on one knee. After many amazing words, he popped the big question! Celebrating with a champagne toast and tears of joy we sat down to soak it all in…

It was Christmas and me and my boyfriend had been dating for 2 years and it was the first Christmas that he didn't get me anything, but I knew that he recently had moved and probably didn't have money. We went with my parents to my grandparents house and we were playing our usual games at Christams time,(ie...Dirty Santa, where you can "steal" another persons present) and it was my turn and T.J. was standing behind me, and he said I have Casey's present, which I really wasn't thinking anything and everybody stopped what they were doing and turned to look at me, and he got on one knee and asked me to be his wife, and my heart started racing and the tears began to roll, I was crying, my mom was crying and some of my aunts and uncles were crying. It was the best proposal I could ever wish for.
