Halloween Spirit: Are You Flaunting It or Faking it?

Halloween has been celebrated in America since 1920, but its traditions have roots in Celtic and Roman customs. Bobbing for apples? Carving pumpkins? Wearing masks? These are all traditions over a thousand years old that some of us enjoy every October. And some of us enjoy Halloween much more than others.

Halloween isn't without controversy, and a lot of people feel very strongly about how Halloween should or shouldn't be celebrated. Even the Vatican has weighed in. With so many different view points, it's no surprise that there are varying degrees of Halloween spirit. Take a looks at who's celebrating the most:
  • Women: 8 percent more women than men planned to celebrate Halloween last year.
  • 18-24 year-olds: 83 percent of this age group is all for celebrating Halloween. The older you get, the more the Halloween spirit wanes.
  • Midwest: Maybe it's because the first U.S. Halloween was celebrated in Anoka, Minnesota, or the fact that Illinois grows so many pumpkins. Whatever the reason, the Midwest has the highest percentage of people celebrating Halloween.
So, are you faking or flaunting your Halloween spirit? Answer the following questions and find out.
